Default Background Help.

For some reason I can't see my background. I can't select anything, as you can see in the image below it is locked for some reason.

Click the image to open in full size.

Does anyone know how may I fix this? I want to be able to select a background from there.

Either that, or, you need to update the driver for your monitor.

Most likely you've got malware infesting your active desktop. Turn off active desktop and see what happens.

Isn't it just right click on your desktop and uncheck active desktop?
It's Right click desktop > properties > desktop > customise desktop > web

If that doesn't work, make sure you have show icons checked.
1. Right-click the desktop.
2. Point to Arrange Icons By.
3. Click Show Desktop Icons.

The first does not work and I already have show desktop icons clicked.

well a quick search has led me to this

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...aperenable.reg

This is a registry key that appears to enable wallpaper use through registry change. Just download it and double click it, however be careful, registry editing is always to be taken with a grain of salt.
